With the cancellation comes the end of a character, Jack Bauer, who was followed by politicians on both sides of the partisan battles, and was oft held up as an example of why torture was either (a) horrific or (b) a necessary evil for our national security.
Hopefully, plans for a potential 24 movie do indeed pan out.
Mike, I feel your pain. I'm a huge fan. Jack Bauer is the new Chuck Norris. And who do we have to replace him? I see no viable candidates. The iconic role of Dennis Haysbert as David Palmer was nearly flawless.

I felt this way when Alias got nixed. And Arrested Development. The latter is slated for a film, too. Fingers crossed!
